Good project

I got this for my 7 year old granddaughter. She seemed to not be able to stay long enough with trying to dig out the dinosaur because it took too long and was very hard. She lost interest after the second one. I'm sure there are kids that will love it and have more patience than she did but it just wasn't right for her.

Educational Toys are Best

I am always looking for toys that will keep my daughter busy but also learning at the same time. She is the type to always ask questions. This was the perfect activity for her. She really enjoyed getting the dinosaurs out of the eggs. She did this activity with her cousins which also had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this toy for this holiday season.

Kids had soooooo much fun!

The kids were looking for a fun fast project to do one day and this 12 pack of dinosaur excavation eggs looked like the perfect afternoon thing for them to do. They had a lot of fun sitting out on the deck on a warm day with these eggs and all the little excavation tools. The dinosaurs they got out of the glow in the dark as an added bonus!

Fun Time For Family Too...

I got these dinosaur excavation eggs for my grandson because he is a dinosaur fanatic. I like this kit because it is an activity that we could do together and the excitement on his face when he finally got the toy dinosaur was priceless each time...lol...It definitely kept us entertained for a very long time due to it being a bit hard to chisel away the egg. I found that soaking the egg in water for about 5 minutes helps make it easier to work with. I also recommend doing this activity outside because it is quite messy and dust will be everywhere. This excavation kit lets my grandson learn about dinosaurs as well as experience what scientists had to do.

Fun but messy!

My daughter is 5 and I received this for her several weeks ago. She loves crafts and hands on activities so I thought with would be right up her alley. It is a little complicated for her and time consuming so she often stops and starts excavating again later. The dinosaurs are cute but not really functional once they're dug out. After she finally uncovered her 1st dinosaur from the egg she said "I loved doing that!".

Great product

Discovery - Toy Dinosaur Excavation Eggs is an excellent product for play, teaching and learn. I am very happy with Discovery, this set contains 12 Dino eggs of course my 3 children share and play together and the 12 dinosaurs are different and glow in the dark, sizes are perfect, the materials are the best.

Kids enjoyed it

The kids really enjoyed these dinosaur eggs. There is only one brush and little excavation tool so I took out a small paint brush and broke apart a clothespin that my three year old could use to break through the egg. This was a little hard for my 3 year old since this is 6+ but with a little help he was able to do it. The dinosaur toys are smaller than I expected for the size of the egg but they're still a decent size. Each egg takes a good 15 minutes or so so you can get several days of play out of this carton. I could also see someone using this as a birthday party activity if they had extra brushes and some type of excavating tool since it comes with 12 and my kids were done with it after 2/3 eggs each. My only note to you would be do this outside if you can because it gets messy. If you do it inside just be prepared to mop and sweep. Overall I would totally recommend for a rainy day or busy activity.
