Tons of features, more clever toy than expected
This is a smaller buzz figure, in line with the 7-inch scale figures and True Talkers. However, his smaller size and slightly lighter weight may be more ideal for smaller fingers to handle. He does contain electronics, so the weight is higher than that of the posable only Buzz. I will note that his “walk” is more of a shuffle (triangular pieces in the bottom of his feet spin to propel him forward). However, as a space ranger, I could imagine different terrains and gravities could make this the safest way to traverse an area. Also making him actually lift his legs and bend his knees to walk doesn’t really seem feasibly worthwhile, so the design works for me. Buzz has 3 oval shaped buttons on the right side of his chest and a larger red button on his left. The 3 oval buttons each trigger a single phrase without motion. With just a single press, the larger red button unlocks a little series of several features in addition to multiple back-to-back phrases. These include him turning his entire torso in both direction, forward and backward walking, raising his laser arm, shooting his laser (blinking light and sounds), and deploying his wings! It really looks like he is moving around to check out his new surroundings and then “reacting” to them. He even gets nervous, aims his laser, shoots his laser, and will shuffle backwards some if needed. This was WAY more than expected on features, and it is adorable to watch. It makes me want to add an extra star to this review! I’m hard-pressed to find many cons for this guy. I do wish they made a full movie scale toy with his features, but, again, this was for smaller fingers, so I am okay with his size. It may have been nice to see additional separate buttons for laser only and wing deployment, so that we could activate just one of those in a more user-directed play. (His red button is more of the mini scripted stories). However, it is not a large enough con to dock any stars. I also would have liked there to be a second piece of his helmet so that the helmet could be opened and closed. Overall this toy is a decent size and weight with a ton of clever features added!

Buzz lightyear a toy to entertain you to infinity!
Lovely little Buzz toy, great quality with his class expression. The 3 yo loved playing with him and using him in stories and making him talk. Good size for small hands and for taking out and about. It's been used in dinosaur battles and various over precarious roles but has survived all very well, a good solid toy and great for Toy story fans.

Great interactive toy, shame it doesn’t ‘walk’
Good size, lots of phrases which my kids LOVE! The only disappointment was that it’s advertised as ‘walking’ buzz light year, so my kids expected him to walk.. however its more like a shuffle on the spot / shuffling round in a circle! Would be better if he actually walked forward in a straight line. Other than this both my kids have had endless fun with this, copying the phrases!

Wow - Excellent Toy!
When this toy arrived I had my doubts, Jack who is just 4 seemed initially very unsure about Buzz, who was walking and talking, but within an hour were best buddies. They are now inseparable. Conversations flow between them both and I often hear howls of laughter as Buzz has said something funny! This toy has brought so much fun to him and has exceeded all my expectations. It is very well made and well packaged. Highly recommended.
