Ruffle-Trim Belted Trench Coat

Web ID: 5499339Too big
I am a medium and it was too big - even if I wore a suit underneath, it still looked like a size too big.
Very elegant
I have been in need of an elegant spring trench coat that is long enough to wear with dresses and short skirts. This is my forth rain coat I ordered this spring from Macys. Unfortunately, our local store did not bring them in at all this spring, so there was no way to try. So I ordered all of them on line. This jacket is gorgeous! The ruffed detail is so unique. The material is pretty thick and a bit shinny. I ordered another one from Guess and it is too thin and does not keep a nice shape. One more from London fog looks very wrinkled when I get out of the car. This one stays nice and does not seem to wrinkle much. I am almost 6ft tall and skinny. So size S fits great. It is skirted on the bottom so it is even a bit too large from the waist down. The sleeve length is great and the belt is not too high ( as most jackets on me) - it sits right where it should be. So overal I am very happy with this coat. It is a keeper. I wish it was a bit shorter (as it hits right at the knees) buttons could be cuter, and the skirted part not as wide.
DKNY Ruffle-Trim Belted Trench Coat
I'll start with this is a very good looking trench coat and obviously well made. After all... it's DKNY! ;o) It's not lined so definitely best for "not so cold" weather. The sizing appears to be a bit "off" (at least for me), in that the XXL was too big (i.e. chest and waist) and the XL was too snug. FYI... my sizing ranges from size 16R or 14W depending on the designer. I initially opted to get the XXL with the plan to wear it with a sweater but it's just too big, which is not flattering for a curvy/full-figured gal. Regrettably, it's going back.
