I am uncertain about this swimskirt though my husband loves it. The cut is odd for me. I am an aging (thickening) hourglass. I prefer items that sit on my waist in order to emphasize (what's left of) my shape.This sits as depicted in the photo, below the belly button. Usually, I am a 12 in bottoms so initially, I ordered a Large. It fit nicely and I prefer the longer length of the skirt in the L. But it kind of sags and gaps (when seated) at the top. I can pull the fold-over rightside up so it covers my meno belly. I decided to order the Medium, as well, especially when I encountered a similar issue with the one-shouldered top (which fit best in the M and not the L, which was also surprising). The swimskirt in a Medium is much shorter than the Large but what I like about it is that it sits higher up, closer to the belly button and doesn't sag and gap, showing the meno belly as much. That said, it is a slightly tighter fit but I feel more secure that it won't fall off while swimming.
