Sizing inconsistent - runs small order up a size

This is my second pair of dkny active. I got size medium because the first one I bought was also a medium and fits perfectly. However, this pant is shorter than what is shown in the picture and tighter overall. I’m only 5’4 131 lbs and these come up to mid-half! I’m not a tall person by any means. So the real reason for the 2 stars is from dkny’s sizing inconsistency
