Eyelash trimmed cardi

This cardi is quite lovely - elegant and classy. However, the "eyelash" trim is not soft like real eyelashes. Unfortunately, it is picky and scratchy against the skin. The wearer may be wise to pair a garment with the sweater that fully covers the neck area. Also, the sleeves are rather long, even for me at 5'6". Somehow cuffing up the sleeves on such a dressy sweater jacket does not seem to be the answer. Folding under the excess sleeve material may be the only hope!
