This is my first Belvedere pebbled leather Dooney purchase and I love it! I have the pebble continental clutch in cranberry and the pebble small flap wallet in salmon which are both fantastic and i love them as well. In comparison, the leather on the Belvedere is softer and more buttery. I purchased the wallet in black. There is plenty of room for credit cards and I always like a clear window for my drivers' licence. I do not carry a lot of coins on purpose because they tend to weigh down my purse so the small amount I do carry fits fine in the coin compartment. I think the outer pocket on the wallet is awesome and I keep all of my receipts in it. Over time, the pocket should stretch a bit and it will be easier to fit my receipts. The cash compartment is very deep. I keep my cash tucked towards the opening and it seems to stay put there. Size wise, this wallet is in between the continental clutch and small flap wallets. It's a nice medium size. I wanted something in the middle that would fit perfectly in my Dooney bags. It's very classy and worth the money but it always feels good to get a deal so I waited till it was on sale this past week and splurged! Check your local Macy's. They may have a Belvedere handbag on display. I went into my store and squeezed the Belvedere bags to see what the wallet would feel like since they rarely have a variety of wallets in store. I know that's kind of weird but I'm not a huge fan of purchasing items that I cannot touch first. Anyway, weirdness aside, it is a very beautiful and functional wallet.
Midnight Blue - Color in photo is off
A very big reason I ordered this was because of the color shown in the photos for the Midnight Blue option. In person it's multiple shades darker. I realize everyone's screens are different, and lighting is a factor as well, but I've viewed the image on multiple screens and in multiple lighting conditions, and the result is never close. I'd describe the color as a dark navy blue. The wallet itself is GREAT, and ultimately I am going to keep it because (apart from the color) it's everything I'm looking for. Was going back and forth between removing 1 or 2 stars, but ultimately decided on 2 because of how misrepresented the color is in addition to the importance it had for making my choice. If you'd interested in a better color representation, look up "Dooney & Bourke Midnight Blue" - you'll notice there's products that are a dark navy blue and others that look closer to the photo on this site. The dark navy, at least for the wallet I received, is the true color.

My purchase was amazingly and reasonable. I am so happy with my wallet and as an extra bonus it was on sale . I am so pleased with Macy’s. They are the number 1 retailer in my book
Love This Wallet
I have three D&B wallets. This is my absolute favorite of them all. Taupe color is nice to have for everyday use instead of the basic colors.
