Cute but horribly scratchy inside -- returning

Looks adorable and the outside is plush, but inside feels like sandpaper due to the weird open plastic weave. Why would anyone make something this uncomfortable for little kids? I wouldn't wear it and I'm way less picky than the average toddler. Even over long sleeves and pants, the inside will rub skin on wrists/ankles/neck. Returning.
