Perfect size, perfect fit, perfect price, typical Ecco quality.
Fit like a glove right out of the box..... but...
They felt great right out of the box, and true to size! But the first day I wore them towards the end of the work day (and I sit at a desk most of the day) I noticed they were starting to rub the inside of my left ankle-heel area (like a blister may be forming). Day Two: I wore a new pair of Rockport Coldspring Moc Toe Boots, also fit like a glove right out of the box, wore them all day and night and they felt great. Day 3: Thought I'd wear the Ecco's again, thinking they might just need to conform to my feet, two thirds of the day through BOTH FEET began to blister in the same spot, I walked out to the car, put on the Rockports and worked the rest of the day in comfort. Wanted to like/keep the Ecco's but took them back to Macy's and kept the Rockports. Bought these boots to do some "Winter Urban Hiking" in NYC, wouldn't have made it through the first day in Ecco's, but the Rockports did not fail me.
Quality Ecco Boots
Just received these boots, and tried them on, fit great, look classy, feel comfortable. Be aware these do have a faux fur lining and I think they are labeled hydromax which means either water resistant or waterproof, not sure which, so might be more of a winter boot. I am a size 10 in shoes and usually order a 43 with Ecco.
Quality
I wear a men's size 10 1/2 wide in the forefoot, as usual the Ecco 44 fits perfect. I probably have close to a dozen Ecco shoes, including a pair of golf shoes. For this particular Ecco boot you might need a half day of break in period, then total comfort.
