Effy is usually of good quality and for the price I decided to order it. The stones were far lighter than in the picture and was not a true emerald color I was looking for. I am returning it.

Gorgeous Earrings, Poor Clasp Design
I recently purchased a pair of Sapphire and Diamond earrings from Effy through Macy’s online, after seeing the same pair in-store. The store item was defective and wouldn’t latch properly, so I thought ordering a new one online would solve the problem. Unfortunately, the earrings I received had the exact same issue — the latch does not secure properly, which makes them very easy to lose. For a piece of fine jewelry at this price point, I expected better quality and functionality. It’s disappointing that such a beautiful and elegant piece would have such a major flaw. I love the design and the stones are stunning, but the risk of losing them due to poor clasp design makes it difficult to wear them with confidence. I hope Effy addresses this issue seriously — quality should reflect the price.

So, I bought this ring online. I ordered the sapphire (its also available in Ruby and emerald). They sent me the Ruby. Kind of a big oops on their part. Too much of a hassle to send it back and have the right stone ring sent...so Im just keeping it. Like I said, its gorgeous, but....
EFFY Ruby and Diamond small hoop earrings
Very disappointed. The "rubies" aren't red at all, more pink or fuchsia. They do not at all go with any of my bracelets or necklaces that are ruby. They are pretty but not as depicted in the advertising photo.
