Cool Shaped Pant but ran a bit small

Bought to match jacket. Inconsistent sizing. Had to buy a few pairs (in same size) before I found a pair that fit correctly.

Stiff fabric for pants

The pants were unbecoming and a bit stiff. Usual size of xsmall was good. I also didn't like the color.

EF sizing info; I like the fabric.

I am 145 lbs, 36x31x41, 5'8", and I usually wear a Medium in EF, though I do not consider myself to be size 6-8, which is what the EF size chart says a Medium is. These pants are a lightweight canvas that will relax (I read that in other reviews) but there is no stretch. The graphite fit perfectly in M but the tarragon was too slim at the low hip. Since I would swim in a Large, I ordered the tarragon in a M again, in the hope the fit will be like the graphite pair. Note, these are not pull-on, they have a side zipper and button.
