Nice, but not for me

Material was nice - silky, thin good for summer. I thought the neckline was more "sweetheart" than it is. It was more straight across than I expected and the whole thing looked more "old lady" than I was expecting so I returned it. Sizing was true to size.

Quality

I have worn and loved Eileen West cotton gowns for approximately 40 years. I have many now that have held their quality after laundering many times over the years. The one just purchased has many of the same beautiful details but it is flimsy. It is not the same quality that I am accustomed to for this brand.

Shrinks in length

Very soft fabric, feels gentle and comfortable on skin. Cap sleeves provide just the right coverage from the cold air conditioned breeze. The fabric shrinks considerably in length after washing. Feels a bit too short for the width of the gown as it rides up your body too easily in bed.

The gown ran big. I’m usually a M in Eileen West but this one was big on top.
