Just what I was looking for
I needed placemats to protect my old wood table from the cold water/ice condensation. I wanted something washable and subtle. These are large enough for all the place settings including water and wine glasses.

Similar to other reviews, they shrunk and wrinkled up. I followed the instructions on tag. Since they are white…not even worth buying since you can't wash them
Not good
Echoing the other reviewers. These are not washable, even though their tags say they are. They shrank A LOT and became super wrinkled. They look like dolls’ placemats now, and I threw them away.
Do not wash
Not practice for a dinner table. You can't wash them because they shrink so much and wrinkle up. I tried stretching them once out of the washer then ironed once dried but the wrinkles are permanent. Horrible

Followed washing instructions, used a very light cycle cold water and very low heat in the dryer for only 10 minutes. Placemats shrunk are least an inch all around and is permanently wrinkled. I used an iron and I can't get the wrinkles out at all.

Buffalo plaid with a more contemporary look
really good value - good quality - the grey and white is really fresh and has more contemporary look than the usual blue buffalo plaid - so glad I purchased these

They are beautiful, I bought them because I thought they would match my country curtains, they are spot on!! They look really good in our kitchen. So glad Macy's had them. Reasonably priced!!
