Nice Formula...

Nice formula, disappointing shades (as usual). Not sure what kind of filters people are using on their photos that make these shades look purplish-mauve and pink. All of these shades are warm (orange/brown) based and look terrible on the cool-toned (i.e., me). I swatched on a piece of white paper and took two photos (one w/flash, one without). The formula's fantastic, as EL lipsticks usually are. There's no scent nor flavor. But I can't wear any of these colors, esp. the tomato red of "Red Ribbon." "Blushing Bow" & "Sneak Peak" are nearly the same shade. I hate returning cosmetics I've used or swatched, but I've absolutely no use for these. Every year, I get this set with high hopes based on the photos provided by EL. And every year, I'm disappointed when I see what the shades really look like. Last year's set is sitting in a drawer, swatched but never used. I know EL is trying to satisfy a whole host of customers, but can we, the cool-toned, ever once get anything that works for US?

This is perfect gift set for this Christmas. I love all the colors. These matte lipstick are so beautiful, perfect for everyday wear. I love how smooth it goes on, natural soft texture. They smell good too. I will buy some sets for my friends as Christmas gifts. High recommend. I received this product for free from Estée Lauder for testing and review purposes.
