Great Value for the Money

Four days before Christmas I ordered online the Eureka bagless upright vacuum, model 4242A. The first time I used it I was amazed at how quickly the dust canister filled. Our old vacuum was not cleaning the carpet like the new Eureka does. Now my mother wants one but the price has doubled. Thanks Macy's for a great deal.

Simply perfect

This vacuum is perfect for carpet, tile, and upholstery (including cars). Assembly was easy as there were only 5 screws, and everything fit together like a puzzle. I used it in my house after a 21 day vacation and was amazed/shocked at how much dust and such was caught in the trap. Nice to know there's a HEPA filter too. The vacuum glides over and turns easily on the carpet and when you're all done, the retractable cord stows away nicely. Definitely recommended!

Does The Job

The machine does its job, however, I cannot get two(2) of the screws to go all the way in - they only enter about 1/4 of the way and small amounts of dust may escape, and, I am an asthmatic!

Worth the price

This vacuum cleaner did an excellent job of picking up a lot of dirt on different surfaces, plush carpet, area carpet and wood floors. I like the attachment for upholstery with it's rolling brush. Also was fairly easy to empty though I over filled the container and had to take apart to clean thoroughly. The pieces are easy to wash and re-assemble.

Great product at a great price

Ordered this vacuum via internet. I couldn't have ask for a better product!! Love the long cord for the hand held tools and the automaticcord rewind. Its powerful suction makes vacuuming easy.

this was a great purchase

it easy to use, goes in between corners and its quiet, easy to guide around my living room and bedroom. haven't tried on the hardwood but am sure that wont be a problem.
