Great family Fun Activity Nothing says family fun better than this Tie Dye Ultimate Set 148pcs by FAO Schwarz. This Tie Dye Ultimate Set comes in a very durable storage container with a handle. This kit is very easy to use and comes with an idea instruction manual. There are enough supplies included for several projects. The pigment of the dyes are very vibrant. After the first initial wash, the colors continue to stay very bright. I really like everything included in this kit it makes for a convenient family weekend project. It includes dye, glitter, some iron on's, various dyes primary & secondary colors, 2 bandana which tends to run a little small, and a small tote bag. This set would make a great rainy day activity and I would purchase this set again.

Dye didn’t stick that well.
The kit is a pretty good kit it has everything you need to do tie dye plus extras. And even a carrying case that you can use once you’re done tie dying. You just need the shirts. A little bit of the red dye powder spilled on some of the stuff when I received it. But that could’ve been because of shipping. But the kit had 2 bandannas, 1 small and 1 large. And a tote bag. 90 rubber bands, 12 gloves, 1 plastic surface cover, 1 bottle of glitter spray, 30 iron on glitter designs, and 10 bottle of dye powder in the colors red, orange, yellow, light blue, dark blue, purple, dark green, light green, magenta and a light teal color. And instructions on how to mix the dyes and tips and instructions on how to do different patterns with the tie dye. I wish the instructions for the patterns were a little clearer, I wish it included more pictures on how to do them. But that wasn’t a real big deal. In the instructions for mixing the dyes, it said for brighter colors use less water for lighter colors use more water. I ended up just filling it to the fill line. I was able to create a good bit of things with the dyes. We made it a little family thing. All together we made 7 shirts and 2 of the bandanas. And still had red, yellow, orange and some of the light and dark green left over. After we were done we put them in separate ziplock bags and let all but one sit for 24 hours, I let one shirt sit for 48 hours. It was exciting to wash out the dye and see what all different patterns we made. When we put them in the washer though. A lot of the shirts ended up losing majority of the dye. A couple of the shirts the dye stuck on but faded a good bit. And i didn’t even use the hot water like it said to do in the instructions. So that was a little sad. The shirt that I let sit for 48 hours kept its color a little bit better and didn’t fade out as much. So I would reccomend using less water if you want brighter colors, and letting it sit for about 48-72 hours before washing out the dye in a sink and washer. But it was still a fun thing to do with the family or on your own. and the clothes that did keep their color look really cute. The only things I didn’t have the chance to try was the spray on glitter and iron on glitter transfers I think if I would’ve used less water for the dyes and let them sit longer the colors would’ve been a lot better and showed up a lot better. I think this would be a great kit for a family with younger kids to do together. Disclaimer: I received this product free for an honest review, all opinions are 100% my own.

Best craft kit!!
I recieved the FAO Schwarz Tie Dye Ultimate Set and my kids have not stopped using it. It came in a cute carry box and everything you need to tie dye!! I love that it came with 10 colors and they were vibrant and didn't fade out like other the dye kits I have tried. It came with some glittery iron on decals and glitter spray that were a fun bonus to the whole kit.I will be getting another kit in the future for my kids. I recommend this for any crafter at any age so fun and easy to use!!!

Great Family Fun!
This is a really fun kit! My kids are 9 and 12, and we had a great time tie dying together. We purchased t-shirts, tank tops and socks to tie dye. The kit has everything you need. It comes with easy to follow instructions. The rest is up to your imagination! I love the container it come in. Plenty big enough to hold everything you need. The only thing I wish was different, once you add water to the bottles of dye, they need to be used with in 72 hours. There are 10 colors/dye bottles, so you can select a few colors, and split it up into 2 or 3 projects. If you want to use all the colors, it is basically a one time use kit. I am sure you can get other dyes and reuse the bottles.

Everything you need
This tie dye set is amazing. So easy to use my kids can use it on their own. It comes with everything you need to make awesome projects. Hours of fun with minimal mess. Such a great gift to give for any tweens who loves crafts.
