First Class Teaching is a first class book!

First Class Teaching is packed full of funny, inspiring, realistic stories and advice for new and veteran teachers. Each chapter focuses on one particular lesson that you don’t learn in college, but you need to know for a successful teaching career. No matter your level of experience as an educator, you will relate to the scenarios and also leave with some new ideas to improve your teaching craft. The author, Michelle Emerson, an accomplished teacher, YouTuber, podcaster, and business woman, clearly shows a passion for helping other teachers. Her book is the kind that you will want to hold on to and reread as you go through each school year. I can’t recommend this book enough!

Awful

I got this for my mom who is a teacher and she said, I was sorely disappointed with the useless information and awful methods presented in the book. The author seemed to have no idea what they were talking about, and the advice they gave was completely impractical and unhelpful. The book was filled with pointless anecdotes and stories that had no relevance to the topic at hand. The author also seemed to have a strange obsession with using outdated teaching methods that had been proven to be ineffective years ago. It was clear that they had not done any research or updated their teaching practices in quite some time.
