Great blades, bad grips.
I bought these a few years ago, expecting them to last. The soft grip handles gave basically melted into a gooey mess. They have been maintained and taken care of, but won’t be buying these again.

Sorry to hear the handles broke down like that. Softgrip® material can deteriorate over time if exposed to heat, humidity, or certain cleaners, even with good care. Regular cleaning with mild soap and storing in a cool, dry place usually helps prevent this. A gentle scrub with a baking soda paste usually restores the surface.
Design problem????
Shears cut OK, but the nut on the pivot bolt keeps coming loose and has to be tightened after 5 or 6 minutes of hedge trimming. Not fun!!!

Thanks for letting us know. The pivot nut should stay secure during normal use — it sounds like yours may need a quick adjustment or a drop of thread-locking compound to keep it in place while trimming.

These shears are amazing, the grip on the handles are ideal for nonslip. I like to wear gloves when doing yard work, and these shears are great from grip and have a powerful sharp cut. The safety feature is great for storage. Great value and well made. Definitely a great addition to my tools.

Easy To Use
The one side of my driveway & property gets all vines, which I have to cut back often. Using Fiskars Power-Lever Hedge Shears 8" makes for an easier quick job. I am able to cut through all the vines with ease! I cut through skinny branches that start to hang over the driveway too. The comfort of using these hedge shears definitely is a plus. Getting through a branch, no hard feeling in my hands when I snap through the branch,. The grip is nice and firm my hands don’t slip on the handles. The blades are sharp, I’ve been using it weekly trimming all the over grown vines and it’s still nice & sharp.

Great Hedge Shears
My husband trims are bushes and hedges quite often, and he says using the Fiskars Power Lever Hedge Shears makes is so much easier and faster. He says its a clean cut every time because the blades are very sharp. The handles are cushioned so it makes it more comfortable to hold. Also, they are lightweight so you don't tire out as easily. They are easy to clean as well. My husband highly recommends these hedge shears.

Work good
I have a bush in my front yard that needed a severe trimming. I used these Fiskars Power lever hedge shears on it and they worked amazing! It cut the bush smoothly and there were no issues. The quality is good and the price is reasonable! I highly recommend this!

Very sharp out of the package.
I seriously have been struggling using my Dad's hedge clippers ( I am 63 ) to trim bushes and ornamental grass on my property for far too long. I needed a new pair of hedge clippers and chose the Fiskars Power Lever 8" Hedge Shears. So far, using them on a eucalyptus type bush I have growing on my property, they have worked great. Very sharp and easy to use. The real test will come in late fall when I hope to be able to use these shears to trim the ornamental grasses that I have all over the property. As sharp as these are and with the leverage they provide, I don't think it will be a problem.
