This is the season for mulled wine, mince pies, and magic under the mistletoe…Flora loves Christmas more than anything else in the world, so she's gutted when her Scrooge-alike boss fires her from Deck the Halls Christmas emporium. But now she finally has a chance to follow her dreams – and what better place to start than the home of Christmas? Before she can say 'sleigh bells', Flora's on her way to Lapland in a campervan-cum-Christmas-shop. She can't wait to spend her days drinking hot chocolate and taking reindeer-drawn carriage rides, but something Flora didn't expect was meeting Connor, a Norse god of a man who makes her heart flutter and snowflakes swirl in her stomach. There's just one problem- Connor hates Christmas. Can Flora convince Connor of the joys of Christmas – and will she find a festive romance along the way? The perfect Christmas romance for fans of Debbie Johnson, Holly Martin and Jenny Colgan. Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop! 'An absolutely delightful festive feel good book! Whimsical. Wrap up in a blanket and hot chocolate

I gave this book 4.5 stars. It took a little bit to start up for me but once I did get into the story I "lapped" it up. Rebecca Raisin has an art for making even the saddest thing amusing and so I found myself laughing out loud on more than one or two occasions. The way she paints pictures with her words is wonderful and much as I hate snow and winter I would love to go to Lapland. Sleigh rides, deer, the wonderful sounding food, the Christmas food and absolutely stunning scenery makes this somewhere I would very much like to visit. I adored all the characters. Of course it was hard to like the "villainess" but even she was written beautifully. I really liked how it all developed and I also liked how real Flora was depicted. Oh my gosh, I could see myself doing some of the things she did and coming up with the same excuses. If you have never had a chance to read Rebecca Raisin before I suggest that you read this one. A great introduction to her writing and also to the magic of the holiday season. If you are familiar with the author then you know exactly what I mean when I say this was whimsical, sweet, a love story, a Christmas story, family and friendship and oh so much more.

Festive romantic read

Sweet Chocolate romance story. Love how festive Flora goes on a holiday adventure by way of a van to sell various Christmas trinket. Along the way she meets other market people such as herself and makes new friends but also goes out of her way to show grinchy Connor ((the manager of the park where the market is held) that there is such a thing as Christmas magic. Loved the storyline and enjoyed the various characters. The story definitely puts readers in a holiday mood. Highly recommend to all romance fans and Christmas fanatics.

An Entertaining Story

Flora is eccentric and has her own quirks. She will speak her mind before thinking about it, so she has had many failed relationships and not any luck with jobs. Just when she thinks its going to work out with Luke, he dumps her. She is shocked and saddened. Livvie is her best friend and roommate. Flora lives with Livvie rent free, since her life is so unpredictable. Flora works at a Christmas Emporium, but the only problem is she fired for being a little too gracious with helping customers out, which goes against the store policy. Livvie ends up moving to L.A., but before she moves, she gives Flora the idea to be her own boss by having a pop up Christmas Shop, will Flora be able to get the idea up and running? Will this give her the new start she needs? Will this lead her to a successful relationship? This book will have you turning the pages to find out Flora’s fate! A unique story with quirky likable characters that makes it fun and entertaining! This book will even have you chuckling at times! A well told story that will leave you feeling satisfied in the end! A great book to add to your Holiday TBR list.
