Gorgeous!

As the other reviewers stated, this is true black, but to me it looks just like the photo. I was never expecting charcoal. This is absolutely gorgeous in person! The neckline however is extremely low...I will have to wear a black cami under this for sure. It plunges a couple of inches lower than what looks like in the photo. I am 5'2", 125, slightly pear shaped, and a 2-4 in sizing and always order the XS in Free People. In this particular circumstance it is snug on my hips. There is some room, but barely. There are also pockets on the seams right at lower hip level which I didn't realize and I think that is the reason. I'm in the process of working off 10 lbs., and until then I can't wear it comfortably without feeling I may rip it. I am definitely keeping it though! I see this as a multi-season piece even though it is light weight.

Not what I expected...

I should have listened to the other review. The black dress is solid BLACK. Based on the pic I expected a charcoal black and a satin like material. While the dress is nice, imaterial and color are not what I expected. I returned it because it runs roomier than other Free People items. I ordered the XS and I'm 5'5", 125lb.

Gorgeous but off

Don’t get me wrong , this item is GORGEOUS. But you should beware the picture is off. It’s a very dark true black in real life. I would give 5 stars if the picture was actuate
