Chemical smell in the fabric

It had a very strong chemical smell when I took it out of the bag. I'm sending it back. Too bad, because it's cute (a little more acid-washed-looking than I would prefer, but still cute).

Loved it but...

Gorgeous jacket, but...the color is more tye-dye than light color shown in the picture. Too bad because I LOVED the fit.
