Great material but weird fitting

I love this jeans. I’m 4;9 it’s a little long but nothing that cannot be fix, however the fitting is not right or pretty. I feel the pair they send me was defective because from the waist it looks like it wasn’t well sew on and it fits me like curvy jeans from the waist only. From everything else it looks pretty.
