Beautiful made and very sharp knife. I thought they were made in France, made in China. Not a slam on the knife but Laguiole is well known brand and crystal.

Gorgeous knives bur wood handles not smooth enuf.

There is no international trademark or copyright etc for “Laguiole”. So, any company can claim to have these names and have the iconic bumblebee on the handle. The “”real ones” come from France and are very expensive if you can even find them. These from Macy’s are beautiful (my husband wanted the rosewood handles). Everything about them is luxe and well crafted, cuts really well, good weight and balance and design elements. However, the handles neede more sanding and finishing to make them smooth. They feel a bit rough. Surprising quality departure.
