ripped, difficult to get a refund

I bought these about a year ago and only wear them for special occasions, as they were so expensive. The second or third time that I wore them, all the holes on the left of the left shoe ripped. I let Frye know and they gave me some push back against giving me a refund. They eventually did, but for how much these shoes are, I expected more help. The refund is in a credit version but I have yet to see anything similar (Chukka style) so I can replace these. A shame.

Mom not sure...

While I love the color and look of the boot...they do run a bit small but as they are suede they will stretch...I wore them twice and on the third wearing the lacing broke while tying...the way the lacing is on these boots you don't have to pull hard to tighten there's not much to tighten...so no reason to break other than not made well I guess...I have several pairs of Frye's that I love and have had for years and they look brand new I was hoping to love these for years as well...

Gorgeous, but flawed

I bought these boots about two months ago, and have worn them a handful of times. Today I noticed that the rawhide laces are ripping through the suede laceholes. Will be returning, sadly.

Love these chukkas

These have been great this fall - very comfortable and good for wearing with jeans and a cozy sweater. The first scuff was a bummer, but honestly it just adds to the look now.

First things first. Go up 1/2 a size

Carly's a dressier chukka with the silhouette of a work boot. Soft suede upper, ankle high with 3 pairs of eyelets and leather laces. Carly is noticeably light weight due to a thinner suede yet lined & reinforced in key areas. We'll see how Carly holds up.

Beautiful shoe, runs a little small

Just received my Carly chukka in taupe today; I love everything about the shoe but will be returning and purchasing one-half size up. I recommend going up one half size than what you usually wear in Frye.
