This mule has a fit
This mule has a fit that is true for width and length with no socks, which is important because I prefer not to wear socks with mules. If you do prefer socks a thin 1/2 sock would also fit well. The stitching and sole are good quality. I have black, and the color is rich and wearing well; no color streaks in the creases where the toes flex for walking. The leather is what I would judge as a medium thickness, and therefore slightly stiffer than a thinner leather. This can especially be felt across the top of the foot. The mules “broke in” quickly and were comfortable after the second wearing. There is a slight heel, which keeps the foot/toes slanted toward the front of the shoe. This helps to keep the mule on more easily when going down stairs or walking quickly; as compared to some flatter mules I have worn that tend to dislodge from the foot or require the wearer to curl their toes to keep the mule on the foot when walking quickly or going up or down stairs. I did place a toe pad in the shoe so that the ball of the foot is on the pad and the toes are not. This cushions the step and helps to keep the shoe on the foot in the most comfortable position without frequent adjustment. I take my shoes off and on several times a day for my work, and I am able to slip the shoe on my foot quickly without using my hands and have my foot slide into a comfortable, practically perfect fit every time.

Nice mules
These are quality leather and just as pictured. I am usually a 6.5, but went up to a 7 in these, as my heel was right on the edge of my 6.5 in the snake skin. I haven’t worn them out and about yet, so I’m uncertain about a break in period.

Love them, very comfortable. I have 7 other Frye boots and some some braided Carson spring slings. These mules are the only ones I had to size up. I’m a true 7.5 and in all my other Frye collection
