Was about to buy this product but I noticed that the remote (if there even is one) isn’t shown in any of the pictures. It is also not described anywhere in the description. Nor is it listed in ‘what’s in the box’. I can only conclude that there is no remote provide

Easy Setup and Startup

I purchased this as a replacement for a 2009 Sony DVD player. I wore it out! So simple to operate as with all Sony devices.

Great experience with this product.

This is my second Sony Blu-ray/DVD player I have purchased. Works beautifully very clear picture reception. The current Sony player which I purchased over 5 years ago is still working beautifully as well and that's the reason I bought this same brand again for use in our bedroom because I've had good experience with their product. I highly recommend this product.

Hi Joe, we're sorry to hear this. The BDPS1700 Blu-ray player does not have a gaming feature. It is primarily designed for playing Blu-ray discs and streaming content from certain pre-installed apps. Unfortunately, it does not support the installation of additional apps or gaming functionalities. ~Earl

Will not switch on properly

The device will only switch on if I press the power switch within a couple of seconds of plugging in the power cord, I.e while the green light on the switch is on. This light goes off ofter a couple of seconds, if I am not quick enough to press the on buttonI bought it as a present for Christmas. And we were disappointed by this "feature" from a reputable company.
