The colors and design are beautiful. The mat has a slippery protective coating, so when my hands sweat they slip. This happened on the last Gaiam mat I bought, so I looked it up online and someone suggested washing it with soap and water and voila, it worked. They should put this on the instructions in or on the box. The block is also a little smaller than the standard block you see in a yoga studio. This was a little disappointing because it is slightly slimmer, which makes it a little less stable when standing it on the side for balance poses.

This is a very nice beginner kit. Love the purple color. Will be using the mat, strap and block in my daily yoga routine.

Concerns
I wish the CD's were digital or I could have the option of once purchased be able to download. That would make it more accessible.

I would but this again.
Product is great for daily practice and making poses easier or harder. The design is beautiful. Themay could be thicker, the block could be sturdier, but the strap is perfect.

Love it! Great products for the best price!
So, I decided I needed a new yoga mat because the one I had was too thick and therefore not easy to carry around. I saw this kit and I thought it was a great price for everything that it came with (but to be honest, I bought the kit for the yoga mat print that I wanted because I already have a strap and the blocks). What a great product! I really don't understand why people complain that the mat is too slippery. There were times in class, in balance poses that required me to take a foot from the mat that it was actually "challenging" to make the mat unstick from my foot, seriously! If I could suggest something, it would be to have two blocks as part of the kit instead of just one considering that many beginner poses that require inversions or balancing might need two blocks instead of just one. But aside from that, I wish I knew about the kit before I purchased my other yoga stuff.
