Weak prongs

I got this ring as a gift. I loved it and was very gentle with it, only wearing for special occasions. This past week, the stone fell out of the setting, literally fell out when I touched the stone with my finger. Thank God I was at home and was on the bed so I had the stone. I will have to take it to the jeweler to get it reset. The ring is beautiful and I got a lot of compliments but the setting is weak. The prongs were not bent or broken, neither was the stone. Bummer it fell out.

Beautiful until the stone fell out

I bought this for myself in December 2021 - beautiful ring - got a lot of compliments. Garnet is my birthstone. Then I came home from work one day this past June 2022 and look down at my hand the garnet was gone. It just makes me so sad - I've never had an issue with Macy's jewelry before....
