Very hard sandal strap impossible to walk it hurts

Only buy in-store

These sandals are cute, I purchased them online, which is a gamble with footwear. I lost this bet and I’m returning the sandals. The footbed felt comfortable and true to size. I have two complaints that you can alleviate if you see them in the store. There are 4 ‘gems’ that comprise the band over the toes. One of these gems was badly aligned/twisted, and it wasn’t something I could fix. There is no adjustment in these sandals, the part around the ankle is elastic, so if it fits, great. If not, there is nothing to do. I ordered my normal 8.5 size, but the elastic band around the ankle is VERY small. I could get the sandals on but they are way too tight for my average ankle. Too bad, they are cute. You can trouble shoot both of my problems if you try them on in-store.

I absolutely love both pairs of shoes but they flip flop when you walk I’m going on a trip n I need them to be tighter I have to return them n I love the style so much.
