Too smart from its own good

Once again I purchased a coffee maker that is too smart for its own good. I have owned it for less than a month and it is shutting off and showing a E5 error code. Also there isn't enough room when refilling with water.

It’s a great coffee pot!

I love my GE COFFEE MAKER. Attractive design, easy to understand controls, and it brews great coffee.

Good unit with a poorly designed carafe.

The unit is attractive, and it brews good coffee. The unit has all necessary features, and it is easy to set up and use. The display is bright and the clock is easy to read. One issue however is the design of the carafe. It is impossible to empty the carafe completely. There is a narrow channel where the plastic rim meets the glass body of the carafe. A small amount of water or coffee remains under the rim, and it returns back into the carafe when the pot is returned upright. The narrow channel is impossible to clean without a Q-Tip swab, and I am concerned that bacteria may grow in the coffee residue that is bound to accumulate in the channel under the rim.

Basic Coffee Maker, gets the job done!

Overall function is good, cheap plastic used on the lid design. Like 4 hour warming plate timer and ability to change warming plate temperature. I use #4 disposable filters for easy clean up.Brews a little loud. 10 cup capacity. Matches my other GE Slate color appliances.

Nice coffee maker

The reason for 4 stars is a couple times now in first week of use an E5 code has been displayed. Unable to identify E5 in manual as there are no troubleshooting pages.

GE needs to fix this issue. Not worth it.

I returned it because the filter is too thin. During the process of making coffee the flour goes thru the filter straight to the coffee recipient.
