not worth the money
starts out as amazing then little by little no matter how much you clean it and take care of it, it will start to break down right after the warranty is up. I loved this ice machine and for the price I wish it didnt die so soon.

It was great for the whole week that it worked
My husband and I were so happy to receive this ice maker as a wedding gift. We absolutely loved it for the whole week that it worked. Now it will no longer make ice. It constantly says "making ice" and then "add water" even when it is full of water. We have tried making sure the tubes aren't stopped up and have cleaned it multiple times. Unfortunately, at this point we will be in contact about the warranty for our machine. We are really disappointed with the quality of this expensive machine, in particular because it was given to us as a thoughtful gift.

Quick ice, sleek design
Overall, I’m quite pleased with this icemaker. It doesn’t occupy much counter space and makes ice relatively quickly. However, I wish it had a refrigeration system to keep the ice longer. This system essentially makes ice , but it immediately starts melting, creating a continuous cycle. I’ve set ours up on a timer through their app, so it only makes ice in the evenings and doesn’t run throughout the day. Maintenance can be a bit of a chore, and I wish there was a simpler system for that.

I would pick a different one if given the chance.
I give it 3 stars because it does, in fact, make ice. I take away 2 stars because after only a couple of months of having it it will sporadically make an AWFUL noice to the point where I have to unplug it. We put it in the laundry room so it can make noise when it feels like it and we just know that there are no screech owls in the vicinity- it's just the ice maker. I tried to contact the company and got the runaround about trying to fix/replace it to the point where it was just easier to deal with the noise.

5 years great ice
We had our first Opal ice make for over five years of continuous use without any problems. Great ice every day. It was a bit squeaky for a few months in the beginning but that went away. We did clean it once a month which is a good amount of work but worth it. It finally quit working and we ordered a new one even though it probably could have been repaired. We are very happy with that purchase.

Loved it until it stopped working
It stopped working and warranty had expired. Had it for a year and a half . Took the back off to try and repair and noticed the metal was tore up.
