lead?

I bought these washed them as directed went to put them away and sure enough black paint on my hands looked like soot probably lead emailed macys service no help stuck with China junk

Paint comes off in your hand.

These are so cute BUT black paint comes off of the chickens. I washed them in the dishwasher and when I put them away I noticed my fingers were all black. It does say it is machine washable so why did this happen.
