I love revisiting childhood favorites with my children. Fashion plates are a great creative outlet. They are easy to use and hold appeal for a wide range of ages and abilities. Both of my children can use the set independently, pairing tiles, editing choices, transferring the image to paper, adding patterns and coloring. My eldest is able to add fine details, while the inability to do so does not take away from my youngest's experience. The set comes with everything needed for a fun-filled afternoon: fashion plates (the backs double as patterns), frame, paper, crayon and colored pencils. All of the supplies are stored in a beautiful wooden case with a carrying handle. Every item has a designated space making it easy to maintain organization. There is also room in the interior to store final designs. Best yet, the case can be used as a surface for completing the designs from start to finish if you're using the set on the go. My kids both love being designers, choosing from endless combinations to realize their vision, creating a higher caliber drawing than they would be able to create indepently, personalizing and hanging on the wall to take pride in. I appreciate that when the paper, pencils and crayon run out, they can (and will) be easily replaced with material found in our home without detracting from function.

Childhood reinvented!
This immediately took me back to my childhood. I spent dozens of hours and pounds of crayons creating every fashion look possible and had a blast doing it. As soon as I saw this newer revamped version I knew my niece had to have it. It's perfect and works exactly as I remember.

Fun!
MY granddaughter loves to draw and put together outfits. This set has brought hours of joy to her and kept her from wanting tablet or TV time. The case makes them easy to store and less mess in her room

Fashion plates design
There are nice designs and ideas in the fashion plates kit. My daughter loves to draw dresses and outfits. They definitely give you new ideas and it's a nice carrying case. And nice bright pink case to carry stuff.

Art Project with Everything You Need
I purchased this set for as a traveling activity for my daughter. Everything you need is included in a slim carrier, so it made it easy to transport. My daughter is 7 and enjoyed being a fashion designer with her art. She spent the whole flight making designing outfits for her friends. Very easy for her to use... she didn't have to work too hard for the impressions to show through on her paper. It was a great activity for small spaces.

So when I saw this I was very excited because it reminds me of a toy I had when I was a child. It's easy to use and understand, and I feel like it gives kids a real sense of creating something themselves like a drawing. I think it could also Inspire children to be interested in fashion and I think it's a great toy that's different than all the other ones out there.

Fun throwback!
What a fun throwback toy for my niece! It really took me back to see these fashion plates that I loved playing with as a kid! Easy as cake and you and color them in after etching! Such fun and endless choices!

Cheap
I got this for my 7 year old who loves to draw and design her own dresses. She enjoys this and is able to make her own designs but at the end of the day it seems like really all the value is of the cheap plastic stencils. I wouldn’t recommend this personally.
