Hat's got dents that won't come out

The hat was shipped in a bag, instead of a box (although that's no guarantee, as a previous hat order proved) and has dents around the periphery of the crown that won't come out on their own. I posted on Reddit to see if anyone has any suggestions. It's a cute hat on...or it would be without the dents. They should construct it with something to stiffen it around the sides. Wearing it doesn't help and I have some issues with tendonitis in both arms, so waving a heavy steamer around isn't doable.
