Beautiful but shipping is ugly

I would have love to use this item but it came to me shattered. The packaging is horrible. It’s not Macys packaging but the manufacturer. I called Macys and no problem in sending a replacement and the replacement was shattered. No foam, no bubble wrap, just some thin tissue paper in the box with the two shattered pieces. I would not order again as it would just come in the same way. The manufacturer needs to work on their packaging.

Very Poorly Packed by Macy’s Buy it Elsewhere

This review is about Macy’s packing. This arrived is a thin cardboard box that was 33” tall and 14” wide, WAAAAY too big for the item. The box was torn open on one corner and been poorly resealed on the other. The cake stand was freely moving inside the huge Macy’s shipping box with no cushioning or packing material inside. When I picked it up, the cake stand almost feel out of the bottom of the box. I just knew is was in a thousand pieces, but to my shock and by some kind of miracle, when I opened the cake stand box, the stand was unbroken. Unbelievable! How it made it without being broken can only be a testimony to the manufacturer’s packing and UPS handling. Macy’s gets ZERO stars on packing. Godinger gets 10 stars for a well-made, versatile, beautiful, and I might add, VERY HEAVY crystal cake stand. Macy’s SHAME ON YOU! I live two hours from the nearest Macy’s, and it would have been a big hassle to find a sturdy and appropriate sized box to return this by UPS. Buy it elsewhere

The dome is chipped

Im so upset because this is a beautiful piece that I wanted to keep and pass down but it’s chipped. I’m so sad because I thought this would be a quality item.
