Joint Broke on First Use

I’ve been looking for a product like this for a long time and had tried a mediocre aluminum solution. This GoPro boom seemed perfect. However, I mounted a GroPro Hero 9 to my road bike’s handlebar with the boom, and in less than a half mile I ran over a small bump where the pavement was being replaced, and the joint on the boom snapped, dropping 1/2 of the boom and my camera in the middle of the intersection. Luckily, the camera is tough.

Arms can snap while adjusting

My bicycle handle bars are too big for the mount so I have to attach to my seat post and have it sticking out to the side a bit. Be careful while adjusting your angles. One of my arms snapped in half while I was moving it and it wasn’t even fully tightened down. So now I’m down to just one arm. I could try to super glue the two broken halves together.

peu intéressant

beaucoup de vibrations et de mouvement, produit semble mal adapté aux sports d'action. Presqu'impossible a utiliser en mode pleine longueur. En mode demi extension c'est un peu mieux mais la tige finit toujours par bouger et ne tient pas bien en place. Très décu par cet achat

Tester en VTT

Le kit n'a pas tenu bien longtemps, le poids de la caméra et les vibrations lors d'une descente engagée on eu raison des inserts de tige carbon, très déçu par le produit. J'imagine que le produit est top pour le vélo de route et le voyage à vélo

Works great for my purpose.

Picked this up to mount camera on back of my bike and record a different angle. Works very well. I wish they would sell smaller sections though cause at times don't need the full extension.

Breaks off at the tip

I finally got to use it on a 1000 mile motorcycle ride . It snapped off at the top where the ball that spins and the mount meet. Couldn’t go back for the camera because couldn’t tell when it broke off . There goes my max with all my footage from my trip

BOOM BAR ARMS TWIST

When you purchase GoPro products you are under the impression that it’s compatible for action shots. However, with the boom bar mount . I found it very difficult to tighten the arm. Therefore, it moves and twist. Even after aligning them. The allen bolts are fine and it’s tight in those areas. BUT the arm itself is not stable enough for active movement. Resulting in the GoPro shifting directions. I followed the instructions and looked up several “how to” video as well. I still haven’t found a solution. The boom bar mount was ordered for me to work on an assignment. I was looking forward to using this piece of equipment for a work project but it looks like I will be using something else. Unless the item that was shipped to us was faulty. This product is not worth the price!

Boom

The boom is useless, it breaks at the ties or hinges, it is not strong as they say, it is not premium, a GoPro 12 camera was lost, thanks to the boom, the camera was not even a month old
