Flatware 18/10, Valcourt 5-Piece Place Setting
Product details
Web ID: 784396Beautiful!!
Although I purchased my place settings and also all of the Serving and Hostess pieces through Macy's, I recommend this pattern very highly! It has beautiful details and a nice weight (18/10). After I purchased 8 place settings for my daughter, I bought a set for myself.
Customer review from Lenox Corporation
Very nice except large size of fork and knife
I would keep them except I’m just not a fan of the new trend for large forks and knives. I let my family judge and they said no to the big fork. I would use the salad fork as a dinner fork. and that’s not what I want. I enjoyed the design otherwise, and I dislike returning items, but I can’t get past it. I’m a traditional sizist when it comes to dining though, so I still give four stars because it’s just my taste.
sturdy, durable, and good looking
I have had this pattern for over 15 years and just needed to fill in some pieces. I still love this pattern today as when I got it. It has held up exceedingly well. price was good at macys
Great Look
I picked out this silverware set for my wedding registry after spending a lot of time looking at different sets in the store and holding them for comfort. I like the how sturdy they are and that they are a little heavier. This silverware has a classic and timeless look. You can use this silverware for everyday use and special occasions.
Gorham Valcourt Flatware
I bought the first set several weeks ago and I love them. They are just right for everyday and special occasions. Also like the pattern it is not plain and not too fancy, they are just right. I would recommend them to anyone who wants quality without breaking the bank.
Lovely!
I picked this pattern in part for the simplicity. I like the weight of the pieces and they are larger than some place settings I considered. I was a little concerned about the large areas without pattern becoming scratched easily but so far I have not found that to be the case and have been told that stainless polish could take out scratches should they occur. I chose only from patterns that have a "lifetime" replacement program rather than purchasing a set for which I can't replace individual pieces. Gorham is a Lenox product so I felt that it would be available for a long time. The Valcourt pattern was first sold in 1981 so I'm hoping it remains a standard.
