Great look, too easy to scratch
These look great and having been made by Mikasa seemed like a no-brainer. Unfortunately, they do scratch up real fast. I made scrambled eggs using one bowl and a simple wire whisk. The bowl afterward was left looking like it had been in my cupboard for 4 years instead of only 24 hours.
Broken dishes on delivery
The dishes were beautiful. However the packing and shipping was less than desirable. The dinner plates were broken.

Juliana Cream dinnerware
Purchased as a gift for my daughter. She says that although she loves the look of the dishes, they scratch when she uses a steak knife on them.

Beautiful, buy scratches.
Beautiful, but scratches so easily. I'm considering returning them just because every dish I've used has silver scratch marks already.... :/

Simple elegance
I saw the display at a department store and immediately came home to purchase on the Mikasa site. I saved some money and my order arrived quickly. The pattern is simple with a bronze trim and light brown speckles. This is beautiful for every day and with little effort I can dress this up for any occasion with accessories. I hope Mikasa brings this back with other serving pieces.

Closest replacement for Mikasa Natural Beauty
After 30+ years, almost all of our Mikasa Natural Beauty (C9000) stoneware was lost in the Camp Fire, and this Juliana Cream was the closest we could find to a current replacement for it. Comparing the two patterns, the Juliana is substantially thinner (so we're not hopeful that durability will match our old set), and the color is darker, one or maybe a few shades darker than a true cream. The C9000 was much whiter. We love the outside color bands on the Juliana, a bronzeish/coppery dark brown which goes perfectly with the creamy dish color. Bands are thinner and darker than our C9000's. We also love the absence of any ridges on the Juliana, dinner and salad plates are completely smooth from side to side with nothing to interfere with eating utensils. We also much prefer the Juliana's bowl shape to the C9000's shorter and wider one. Mugs are 13 oz, big enough for general purpose drinking instead of just coffee. We rarely used the coffee cups of our C9000 because they were simply too small. Overall we're happy with this new set!
