Remote did not work

Remote did not work, and the down button to lower the temperature on the heater also did not work. I wonder if they sent me a returned item from someone else. However, the heat does work well and it reaches to 90 degree. I didn't try the other two options because I am returning a defective item.

This Heater came broken, and trying to return it during this time has been such a hassle. Also, you can find the same product and Bed Bath and Beyond for less money.
