Not what was expected
I got this book from the store this week. In the store it was not labeled as a children’s book, so I got it assuming it was the original dark grimms tales. That was clearly not the case. If it was displayed in the correct section I would have seen no problem with it. Just wish it said “children’s” or something like that on it for those who are looking for the original stories.

Not the full fairy tales
These stories are shortened significantly, so if you're looking for authenticity this isn't the book for you. For example, Cinderella ends when she tries on the golden shoe and the parts that are included are still missing chunks.

Beautiful but has typos
B&N, please get a better proofreader. Hit me up if you can't find someone. I've counted a half dozen typos, wrong words, and obviously errant punctuation just in the first three stories. It's legit kinda hard to read aloud to my 4yo because I keep having to stop and correct the word or phrasing on the page. Also, I know this may be construed as style, but I don't like when a new speaker in a conversation isn't given a new paragraph. Still, the cover is beautiful like all the B&N collectible editions, and I like the inside art well enough.
