Not all Shalimar perfumes smell the same

Beautiful set. Exceptional price point. Great fragrance. But note - Guerlain changes the scent of Shalimar, perfume often and the only way to tell the version is by the lettering style on the logo, the unique nameplate, or lid style. This year Guerlain came out with their 100th anniversary edition, with the bold graphic lettering. At the time of this purchase I was not aware that there are many versions of the Shalimar fragrance. This is not the one I was looking for. The 100th anniversary fragrance is outstanding and not included in this particular set. (Photo 100th anniversary version.)

Sweet Floral with great projection

Though the notes are pear, bergamot, and mid-range lavender, I’m getting hints of rose. I believe the combination of iris, vanilla bergamot, and lavender brings out the subtle rose note that I adore. Lavender isn’t usually my preference because it can be quite herbaceous, but this is a delightful floral scent with a great base. I highly recommend it. I bought this as a blind buy, and it was absolutely worth it.

Guerlain Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum Spray 1 oz

Not a favorite. It's pretty and soft but there's something in it that is too much. There's a particualr scent that I can't work with and it's in this one. I wanted to love it.

Soray bottle or not

Prefer no spray bottle perfume comes out too fast I do like the scent tho.
