Unrealistic size belt with dress size sent

Guess has gotten away from realistic sizing. I am 5'4 and wear a size 6-8 at 155 pounds. My waist is at 29 inches. Down from 31 ( been in the gym)I bought the correct size per chart so I could be comfortable. The belt that came with size 6-8 measured 26 inches for the first hole in the belt. What IN THE WORLD.??When I was 125-140 yes that would be correct. Are they sending the same belt for every size dress without making necessary changes? I had to take the dress back. That would only fit if I was surgically modified.
