In the first book in a terrifying post-apocalyptic duology, it's in the rain…and just one drop will kill you. Perfect for fans of dystopian books! 27 is a number Ruby hates. It's a number that marks the percentage of the population that has survived. It's a number that means she's one of the "lucky" few still standing. And it's a number that says her father is probably dead. Against all odds, Ruby has survived the catastrophic onset of the killer rain. Two weeks after the radio started broadcasting the warning, "It's in the rain. It's fatal and there's no cure," the drinkable water is running out. Ruby's left with two options: persevere on her own or embark on a treacherous journey across the country to find her father- if he's even still alive. Don't miss the breathless conclusion to the H2O duology, The Storm.

Great

Loved this story. Finally something new revolving around the end of humankind. Action from start to finish. A must read for all who like this genre.

Could not finisht the book

I have never read a book with such an annoying protagonist in my life. I'm a teenager and I would have thought I could have connected more, but the things the character prioritizes over a serious situation are ridiculous and infuriating.

One of the Best YA Dystopians

This is by far one of my favorite YA dystopian-esque stories. It is often over-looked and I have no idea why- I recommend this to every teen that asks me! Sure, it is your typical, YA storyline with a popular kid/unpopular kid falling in love, the world is in danger, and somehow social norms still exist. Please give this book a chance- I love it!
