I’m 5’2” and usually a

I’m 5’2” and usually a size 0-2 pre-pregnancy. I ordered a size 25 in these maternity jeans, and they are so tight—definitely not true to size. It’s really disappointing that they are final sale and not eligible for exchange, especially for maternity wear where sizing can be so unpredictable. The quality seems great, but due to the poor fit and lack of flexibility from Hatch, I’m giving 1 star. I wish I could exchange these! It feels unreasonable that maternity jeans would be non-returnable when pregnant women already struggle to find clothes that fit.

Great fit, solid go-to option

I really like that these jeans fit really nicely in my pre-pregnancy size, I didn’t have to overthink the sizing too much. I like a low rise and I love that the flex notch doesn’t impede having pockets like on another brand I have. These feel like basically normal jeans to me. I do wish these came in a full-length option though. I thought they might be based on the pictures, but it turns out these are ankle length, so not quite seasonally appropriate for me at the moment. I’ll like them more in the spring!

Do not recommend

These were true to size and they did fit, but I wouldn't want to wear them. The elastic band inserts were incredibly stiff and uncomfortable.

My pre-pregnancy size is a 29, and I bought these in a 30 just to be safe. They are way too tight and fit more like a 27. Very disappointed as these were final sale.
