Very emotional! I love it!

The mental health representation in this book is great, I feel that it really emphasizes the importance of mental health and how others feel about it. My emotions for this one is definitely high, this one hit all the feelings for me. I’m glad that Charlie has Nick and his family, I really feel for all the friendships and the support that the characters get. Also go Tori! I love her as a side character and I hope we get more of her in the next volumes. I’m definitely going to have to read her book!

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! <3 <3

(You can also find this review on my GoodReads page) This is one of the best books I have ever read. This book touches even further into Charlie's mental health journey and I think that's so significant because it's not always talked about what teens go through especially queer youth, so it's really refreshing to see the author tackle this so well. I also love to see how Nick is being as supportive as possible when things get hard, even if sometimes he doesn't know what to do. I'm really sad the next book is going to be the final installment of this series but the character growth in this book is so significant and spectacular even if it just feels like baby steps to the characters themselves that I know this author is going to end this series magnificently. So now I have to wait till December to get the next book so I'm just going to sit here and reread all four of these into the wee hours of the night. Overall, another easy 5 out of 5 stars, I recommend the entire series to anyone, cause this is definitely something worthwhile :)

perfect

Heartstopper is not just an act of representation, it also shows us time and again in its storylines why representation is important in a way that is almost self-referential.

Good Reading

Two young men navigating the world of love one mile at a time. I hate when I pick up a book part way through the series. I do. But I’m apt to do it because I tend to discover series after they’re started. That’s the case with this book. I started the series at the end, then bounced to the beginning and am back near the end again. Sounds confusing? It’s not. This book flew by, and I wasn’t lost at all. It was like picking up the journal of good friends. It was like seeing those good friends again. I love Nick and Charlie. They’re a good pair. They’re also relatable. They show what it’s like for LGBTQ kids to come out, to be bullied, to have anxieties and how sometimes dealing with them isn’t easy. They show there is hope, too. If you’ve got a support system, you can get through it. I loved that Nick and Charlie are that for each other, but they’ve also got their families, friends and lots of other people. It’s cute to see them get together and fumble through life. If you’re looking for a graphic novel that’s high on romance, anxiety, love and is so cute, then pick this one up. It’s a worthy read. originally posted at long and short reviews
