Best shoveling hat ever!

While ordering socks and a hat for my wife, I took a quick look at hats for men because my beloved 30+ year old Irish (Hanna, Donegal) wool cap was finally beginning to show its age. I ordered a Tim Aviator because, like my Hanna, it has pull-down flaps to cover my ears and back of my head. Its light weight made me wonder if it would be warm enough. No worries; it has kept my noggin toasty through numerous snow shoveling sessions, some at temps near zero. The water-resistant and windproof claims have proven correct as well. A quick shake before coming into the house knocks off any snow and moisture. Construction is also excellent. Seams are straight and tight, no loose threads. My head circumference is 59cm/a bit over 23" and the LARGE/XLARGE is comfortable. Bottom line: The Tim Aviator is my go-to winter hat!

Yes, it's large

I purchased this as a gift for someone with a large head who has trouble getting a hat that will cover his ears and stay in place. Getting a hat that will fit has been difficult, but this one will do it. Construction is as good as what I have come to expect from Heat Holders.
