Pure, unsweetened cacao — very bitter on its own,

I tried Hershey’s 100% Cacao knowing it would be intense, and it definitely is. This is pure cacao with no sugar, so it’s very bold and bitter — not something I’d snack on straight. That said, it works really well when used intentionally. I liked melting a small amount into hot drinks or using it in recipes where I could control the sweetness. The quality feels solid, and it’s nice to have an option with no added sugar for baking or healthier recipes. This is best for people who enjoy strong dark chocolate flavors or use cacao as an ingredient rather than a treat.

Good packaging!

This is the only cocoa powder I buy, it’s a pretty standard cocoa powder. I like that the packaging is rectangular, it’s more practical than round cans for sticking in measuring cups.
