Darker than pictured, but still pretty!

The image on the website is brightened. When you write a review for a Macy's item and select the stars for rating ... that's what the item color is closer to. At the end of the day we just wanted red so I am happy. It is very light which may be a factor for other purchasers. It made no difference to me. Hoping to use this for a few years for Lunar New Year celebrations. If it can be reused a few times I will be very pleased.
