Oddly sized between top & pants

I'm 5'6" 145lbs and purchased a Medium. Top is comfortable...bit on the snug side and sleeves are slim fit. As other reviewers have mentioned, the pants are oversized. For a medium set, they fit like L/XL. I do love the pockets for the pants. Hoping the pants will shrink some in the wash and fit a bit tighter. Thinking I could have purchased a Small set but the shirt may have fit too tight. Holiday Lane - recommend consistency with your sizing.

Cozy flannel bottoms. Love the fabric, but top is slightly tight and the pants are completely oversized. Ordered size large. Keeping because I can roll the waist down.
