What a beautiful Bible. The pictures are amazing. Bible pages made of premium paper. That explains the weight of the Bible. Everyone loved their new family Bible.

King James Bible
The Holy King James Bible is not what I expected. It’s small in size and the writing is also small. The pictures are faded black and white. I would not recommend this bible to anyone!!!

Beautiful, but average and missing many features.
Beautiful bible! Comes with family pages to make note of marriages, births, baptisms, etc. I just wish I didn’t use gender specific terms in the family pages since some folks are in same-sex marriages. It’s pleasant to have these pages though. Gold gilded pages, ribbon marker, text size are all beautifully done. Pages are thick so there’s really no ghosting (a common issue with many bibles due to their thin pages). Illustrations by Gustave Dore are spot on for this bible. However, the words of Christ are NOT in red in this bible, which is its downfall. I also really wish someone would release a KJV bible like this with the apocrypha. I have a center-column reference KJV bible from Thomas Nelson that includes the apocrypha, so they are out there. Just not in family oriented bible like this one. I would have gladly have paid as much as $50 or $60 for this bible had it included the apocrypha. They’re missing out on a big market by not including it, because Catholics, Anglicans, and Orthodox all use the apocrypha/deuterocanonical books. If the family pages had been more gender neutral and the words of Christ were in red, and apocrypha included… this bible would have been 5 stars and perfect in every way.
